Real Help for Parents Who Feel Defeated

Dedicated to the parents who felt defeated—but stayed.
Who returned, again and again, to rebuild love where exhaustion once lived.

The Problem

Children Don’t Always Say What They Feel… But They Always Show It

The meltdowns.

The silence.

The sudden anger.

The refusal.

As adults, we often respond to what we see—the behavior.

But beneath every behavior is something deeper:

  • A feeling they cannot express
  • A need they don’t know how to ask for
  • A struggle they don’t understand themselves

And that’s where the gap begins.

Author Biography

Tanya Chopra is a Counseling Psychologist, Art Therapist, and MAC (Metaphorical Associative Cards) Facilitator with over 20 years of experience working with children, parents, and educators across diverse emotional and developmental needs.

Born and educated in the Russian Federation, Tanya brings a deeply integrative, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach to emotional well-being. Through her work, she gently bridges the gap between emotion and expression, helping both children and adults understand what lies beneath behavior.

Her writing is rooted in one core belief:
Behavior is communication—and every child’s struggle carries a silent wish to be understood.

Through the When Little Hearts Roar series, Tanya invites parents to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with their child, their own inner child, and their authentic parenting voice.
